Words of experience

Common scenarios of "Otherworld Investigation Record"

【Investigator Lin】 I've been assigned to investigate the mysterious disappearances in the old town. The locals say it's the work of otherworldly beings. What do you make of it, Dr. Chen?

【Dr. Chen】 I've analyzed the residual energy signatures at the sites. They don't match any known natural phenomena. There's a pattern, but it's unlike anything I've seen.

【Investigator Lin】 Pattern? Like a ritual or a sequence?

【Dr. Chen】 More like a resonance frequency. Each disappearance occurred when the local magnetic field fluctuated at 7.83 Hz—the Schumann resonance. But amplified a hundredfold.

【Investigator Lin】 That's the Earth's natural frequency. Could it be artificially induced?

【Dr. Chen】 Possibly. I found traces of an unknown mineral at each location. It's not from this world. I've sent samples to the lab.

【Investigator Lin】 Otherworldly mineral? So we're dealing with something not from here. Any witnesses?

【Dr. Chen】 One. A child who was playing near the last site. She said she saw 'shimmering people' stepping out of a crack in the air.

【Investigator Lin】 A crack in the air? Like a portal?

【Dr. Chen】 That's what I think. And the disappearances might be abductions or... exchanges.

【Investigator Lin】 Exchanges? You mean someone from our side goes there, and something comes here?

【Dr. Chen】 Exactly. The energy signature suggests a bidirectional flow. But we haven't found any entities yet.

【Investigator Lin】 We need to set up surveillance at the hotspots. Can you predict the next occurrence?

【Dr. Chen】 Based on the cycles, the next window is in three days, at midnight, near the old clock tower. The magnetic anomalies are already building.

【Investigator Lin】 I'll arrange a team. But we need to be careful. If these beings are hostile, we could be walking into a trap.

【Dr. Chen】 I'll bring my resonance detector. It might give us early warning. Also, I've developed a dampening field generator that could disrupt the portal.

【Investigator Lin】 Good. Let's also interview the child again. Maybe she remembers more details.

【Dr. Chen】 I'll come with you. Children often sense things adults miss. And I want to check if she's been marked.

【Investigator Lin】 Marked? Like a trace?

【Dr. Chen】 Yes. Some witnesses show elevated bioelectric fields. It could mean they're being watched or even used as anchors.
